Overview:
This one-day course provides students with the knowledge and skills to successfully plan and implement a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory directory service infrastructure. The course focuses on a Windows Server 2003 directory service environment, including forest and domain structure.
The course addresses some of topics covered in the 5-day, Microsoft 2279 course.  This course will help prepare the student for the Microsoft 70-294 exam.  This is a core exam for the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification.

Prerequisites:
Prior to attending this class, students should have the following experience:

  1. Completion of course "2278 - Planning and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure" or have the equivalent knowledge and skills

Behavioral Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Describe the logical and physical components of Active Directory.
  2. Create and configure a forest and domain structure by using an Active Directory infrastructure design.
  3. Plan and implement an organizational unit structure.
