Overview:
This two-day course with hands-on workshops is designed for Java programmers who wish to learn how to design servlets in object-oriented systems.

Prerequisites:
Prior to attending this class, students should have the following experience:

  • Familiarity with the Java Programming Language

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • understand the role of the Java Web Server
  • use the servlet API
  • design generic and HTTP servlets
  • process request and response objects
  • generate HTML from servlets
  • install and run servlets
  • perform state and session management
