Overview:
This four-day course with hands-on workshops is designed for Java programmers who wish to learn how to apply Enterprise Java Beans to object-oriented systems.

Prerequisites:
Prior to attending this class, students should have the following experience:

  • Familiarity with the Java Programming Language

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • understand the EJB architecture of multi-tier designs
  • learn the roles of EJB containers in the server environment
  • design Stateless and Stateful Session Beans
  • design Entity Beans
  • understand how to apply Bean-Managed Persistence
  • understand how to apply Container-Managed Persistence
  • learn how to implement Transaction Processing with EJB
  • use Java Messaging (JMS) with EJB components
  • deploy EJB components
  • integrate EJB components with servlets, JSP, and JDBC
